Hineuru Iwi Trust wishes to announce and inform our Iwi members that applications to the 2021 Hineuru Education Grants Scheme is now open. Applications to the scheme will close at 12 noon, Thursday 1st April 2021.

Hineuru Iwi Trust is committed to assisting our members to realise their educational aspirations and realise academic success. Our education grant scheme is guided by our Educational Grants policy developed by the Hineuru Education Strategy Sub Committee and the key principles articulated in our 2021 – 2025 Strategic Plan, which are:

  • To support Hineuru tribal people into education and further learning; and
  • To develop leadership and critical thinkers that will protect and develop Hineuru interests.

Hineuru Iwi Trust is offering three types of grants to registered Iwi members:

  1. Primary School;
  2. Secondary School; and
  3. Tertiary.

Applications that do not follow these instructions will not be accepted:

  6. The closing date is final. If your application is late it will not be accepted.
  7. Please check public holidays and ensure that you contact your education institution to obtain the required validation before they close for holidays, etc.
