RĀHUI NOTICE – effectively immediately

Ngāti Pārau are informing whānau of a rāhui on the Tūtaekurī River for contact recreation (swimming) and mahinga kai as a result of a body being discovered there on Tuesday this week. Click here to view the online news article.  

Hapū representative Te Kaha Hawaikirangi has provided this detail pertaining to the rāhui:

·       No swimming on the Tūtaekurī River between the Waiōhiki bridge down to the river mouth including the Waitangi Estuary until midnight Friday 20 March 2020. 

·       No mahinga kai harvest in the same area through to midnight Tuesday 24 March 2020
